Happy New Year From The LungDirect Team!
2017 proved to be the most exciting year to date for LungDirect. Not only did LungDirect grow exponentially, but also hit major milestones with key hospital deployments and secured funding for future development.
Before we take a look back at 2017, we’re excited to share some big news for 2018!
LungDirect® Goes Live with HCA’s Denver Based HealthONE
January 15th, 2018 marked a major milestone for us. Seamlessly deploying at six Denver hospitals, LungDirect will be used to track pulmonary incidentaloma and lung screening patients. With LungDirect’s proprietary technical integration, each patient record is auto-populated with required patient information, including those essential for Lung Cancer Screening Registry (LCSR) submission. HealthONE is utilizing our software to manage patients at risk for developing lung cancer and streamlining
workflow, while the real-time Analytics tab provides meaningful insight into the vitality of HealthONE’s early detection program.
2017 Year in Review
Mark Cuban Joined LungDirect
In March, LungDirect’s parent company received seed round investment from Mark Cuban. Of the occasion, Mark Cuban stated:
“I like what LungDirect is doing. I was impressed with their ability to reduce health care costs, save lives, leverage technology and extend their intelligence to other health issues.
Once they got some traction, it made it a no brainer.”
Ask the Expert” Webinar Series
We launched the “Ask the Expert” Webinar Series. With the goal to highlight and discuss on-going issues in complex patient management, Dr. Akrum “Aki” Alzubaidi, Assistant Professor, Division of Pulmonary at National Jewish Health, gave the first webinar. The topic: Improving Nodule and Lung Screening workflow via LungDirect. A
recording of the webinar is available by emailing info@matrix-analytics.com
LungDirect was Featured by Amazon Web Services (AWS) During re:Invent 2017
We were featured at re:Invent and in an AWS blog for the use of Deep Learning in complex patient management. Dr. Matt Wood, GM Deep Learning and AI at Amazon, presented LungDirect during Peter Desantis’ Tuesday Night Live. Both AWS events highlight the advancement LungDirect is making in healthcare artificial intelligence
LungDirect Hits the 4,000 Patient Management Mark in 2017
With the addition of Haywood Regional Medical Center to the growing list of LungDirect customers, over 4,000 patients were actively being managed within our software by year-end. While this is a significant milestone, (and
thank you to our many customers who shared their amazing patient stories with us!) We are focused on increasing that number to >100,000 in 2018.
LungDirect® Product Updates
We launched two key product updates during the year. Our latest update v3.0 includes new proprietary feature SmartFlow, an innovative and time efficient way for providers to manage patients and patient data. SmartFlow allows users to customize their roles and assignments within the application, effectively providing individualized workflow and optimization of time.
A revamped user interface and enhanced patient letter template platform improved upon existing workflows, while machine automation unburdened users from low-level tasks, allowing providers to focus at the top of their license. Because of LungDirect’s cloud-based infrastructure, all updates were rolled out seamlessly and at no extra cost to hospitals.
