The Human Resources Director role can vary since we’re currently a small organization in a rapid growth phase.  At times, you will need to perform the functions of an HR Manager (execution, supervision, and reporting) or HR Generalist or a Recruiting Specialist until the HR team can expand.


As part of your role as HR Director, you will be responsible for overseeing hiring and employee relations for all departments and ensuring that they are being managed according to Eon’s standards.  You will plan, lead, and enforce recruitment, management, and employee relations policies.


Until the HR team expands, this role will include policy development, documentation and enforcement to ensure Eon’s policies and procedures are compliant with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.   In addition, the full-cycle recruiting experience will be your responsibility, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees.   You will identify strong candidates that meet / exceed the needs of the hiring manager and are an excellent fit for the EON culture. Ultimately, you will help us build a strong employer brand and ensure we provide a positive candidate and employee experience.


Knowledge & Skills:


The Human Resource Director needs to be highly experienced and well-versed in different areas of HR Management and Recruiting. To easily fit in this role, an HR director should possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist, Manager or Director
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or a related field or related experience
  • 8+ years in the field of Human Resource Management required
  • Experience in scaling startups highly desired (50-500 person growth stage company)
  • Experience managing a multi-state and global organization preferred
  • Experience working at a SaaS or Healthcare company is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent empathy, interpersonal, negotiation, ethics, cultural awareness and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; analytically driven
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of local and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Business Suite or related software
  • Experience and proficiency with HRMS (Human Resource Management System) and/or HRIS (Human Resource Information System) software
  • Solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting, uses best practices and complies with all laws and regulations
  • Ability to handle and recruit for multiple positions simultaneously
  • Experience using various interview formats and selection processes (e.g. phone, structured, group, reference checks)
  • Ability to organize skills assessment centers (e.g. job simulation activities, work samples, psychometric and IQ/EQ tests)
  • Knowledge and ability to communicate company policies and enforce decisions within their authority
  • The ability to counsel, motivate, and guide HR staff and managers of other departments to accomplish an organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, and accustomed to wearing multiple hats.
