Dear Providers,

We at XXXXXXX believe that screening and early detection are an integral part of caring for your patients and making our communities healthier.

As you may be aware, the only recommended screening exam for lung cancer is low-dose computed tomography (also referred to as a low-dose CT scan or LDCT). Screening is recommended for adults meeting specific CMS criteria. They must be 55-77 years of age, be a current smoker with a 30-pack year smoking history or quit within the last 15 years and be asymptomatic. More specifically, screening means testing patients at high-risk for a disease when there are no symptoms or history of that disease.

Please contact us if you have any questions regarding our newly implemented Lung Cancer Screening Program to discuss the scheduling of your eligible patient(s).
