Digital Healthcare Start-Up Matrix Analytics (Eon) Deploys at UCHealth
Feb 16, 2017
DENVER, Feb. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- UCHealth (Aurora, Colorado) becomes the fifth hospital to utilize LungDirect for pulmonary nodule patient management. In addition to optimizing care coordination for patients with a nodule, or a spot on the lung, UCHealth looks to improve provider workflow by decreasing the time spent on manual data entry.
Stephanie Brown, RN, Thoracic Nurse Navigator, says, "I had been tracking my nodule patients with an Excel spreadsheet, which was extremely arduous and susceptible to error. We are very excited to utilize LungDirect, as it is an excellent tool to track our nodule patients over time, analyze data and improve outcomes."
LungDirect, a product of Matrix Analytics, is a proprietary software suite developed by an Interventional Pulmonologist frustrated with the disjointed care pulmonary nodule patients often receive. Electronic Medical Record systems are not equipped to manage nodule care coordination, so Dr. Alzubaidi and his staff were left to use spreadsheets and other outdated mechanisms to manage nodule clinic patients. He decided there had to be a better way. LungDirect offers an innovative way for providers to manage both lung cancer screening patients and other at-risk pulmonary nodule patients.
About Matrix Analytics: Matrix Analytics (now Eon) is a collection of clinical and business experts aligned in the belief that conquering illness and disease requires data, creativity, and an unrelenting focus on Always Learning. First in our sights: Lung Cancer. Despite recent clinical advancements and available technology, an integrated solution to drive the consistent and efficient detection, diagnosis, and treatment of pulmonary nodules and lung cancer does not exist. LungDirect is the first line of defense in the fight. LungDirect registers incidental pulmonary nodules and screening patients to a dashboard and makes a user aware of these patients so they can be followed and treated according to standard clinical care guidelines. Pulmonary nodule management has never been easier!
