Eon Adds New Features, Integrations, and Partnerships to Enable Enterprise Wide Hospital Lung Cancer Management Success

Sep 18, 2018

DENVER, Sept. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Eon fortified its position as the leader in lung screening patient management technology by adding new features, strategic partnerships, and sophisticated integrations that allow enterprise hospital organizations to strategically grow their complex patient management initiatives, businesses, and patient and physician relations.

"The patient journey across healthcare is a diverse landscape that requires hospital enterprises to engage over a number of platforms to effectively track patients, build and manage their programs over a multitude of environments, and extend the value of complex patient management across the enterprise," said Aki Alzubaidi, Co-CEO of Eon. "Our latest advancements — including new product functionality and integrations with outpatient radiology centers and EHRs — help our partners accelerate their growth and increase their return on investment."

Q3 2018 new features and functionality announced by Eon:

  • Eon recently announced Zero Data Entry Submission, a new feature leveraging Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) which allows hospitals the ability to automate over 90% of the data entry, and in many institutions, 100% of data entry. This facilitates Zero Data Entry Submission to required registries for Lung Cancer Screening patients. Hospitals using EonDirect report spending less than 15 minutes per patient per year, as opposed to hours per patient, optimizing their work flow to focus on higher at-risk patients.
  • EonDirect utilizes Amplified Intelligence to automatically identify at-risk patients, capturing and stratifying them into different cohorts based on risk and workflow requirements. EonDirect assigns cohorts to specific application users and with one-click users gain access to appropriate workflows and dependencies based on each cohort. EonDirect customers report ten times more incidental pulmonary nodules and Lung Cancer Screening patients than standard identification methods.
  • Eon's sophisticated full-service integration platform is designed for the technology-enabled    enterprise health care organization. The full -service integration platform configures, builds, and monitors all interfaces between Eon and each organization, freeing valuable hospital resources to focus on other projects.  Eon enables enterprise wide ability to share and report quality metrics from a macro to micro level.
  • Eon understands the value of historical registry data and that no program is successful without. EonDirect Backload mass imports and audits historical patient data and transitions siloed legacy systems to the new standard in enterprise patient management.  With EonDirect, providers lose the spreadsheet once and for all.

Deployment across HCA Healthcare's Continental Division:
Eon also announced today that the HCA Healthcare Continental Division has implemented EonDirect at all of its Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at HealthONE® sites throughout Denver, CO as well as all Wesley Healthcare sites in Wichita, KS.  EonDirect will help improve the management of lung cancer screening patients throughout the Sarah Cannon at HealthONE® and Wesley Healthcare network by longitudinally tracking patient care per evidence-based clinical care guidelines, ensuring data is interoperable across the hospital system, and automating time-consuming tasks such as data entry.

"We are committed to delivering the best possible care for our patients, so we were very excited when we were introduced to Eon's technology. The hospitals throughout our Division, in both Denver and Wichita, that have implemented EonDirect have seen improved care coordination and a significant reduction in time spent on burdensome administrative tasks," said Andy Draper, CIO for HCA Healthcare's Continental Division. "Eon has been a true partner with us in developing a solution that suits our needs, and we believe our physicians will be better equipped to catch lung cancer early which will ensure that patients receive appropriate, timely care."
