Centralizing the LCS Shared Decision Making and Smoking Cessation Counseling

Dyer, Chair of the Department of Radiology, National Jewish Health shared her expert opinion on how a centralized program for Shared Decision Making and Smoking Cessation Counseling can improve patient understanding of Lung Cancer Screening Program requirements and increase patient compliance with follow-up.

A well organized Lung Screening program adds great value to any community, however building a well-organized program can be complicated. Ensuring eligible patients get screened increases significantly when collaboration occurs between Primary Care and the Hospitals providing the service.
